34 Weeks

Want to guess where I've gained my 9 lbs.? I love my tummy. I tell Caleb often that I can't wait for Micah to get here, but I might be just a little sad to not feel all of that movement inside of me. Really it's the fact that I'm selfish and once he gets here I'll have to share him with everyone instead of having him all to myself:) First, we are getting ready for Thanksgiving with our families:) We will be visiting Pittsburg this weekend to celebrate and then in Bethany the following weekend. After that...no more traveling. We are getting our tiny apartment ready for his arrival. His diaper bag is packed and as soon as we get back from Bethany I'll pack my hospital bag.
The Lord is good and Caleb and I are very excited that my school district has agreed to end my contract at Christmas break, which will allow Caleb, Micah and myself to all move together sometime in late January/early February. My students are getting an amazing teacher, one who used to teach at my school before she stayed home with her children. Now they are in Elementary School and she's ready to return---isn't his timing PERFECT!
Now we are trusting him for the timing of Micah's birth. Some day's I hope that I make it to Thanksgiving and other days I think he might want to stay in there until Valentine's Day (not really:) I'm still feeling great, sleeping well and looking forward to meeting our son face to face!

30 Weeks

I can not believe how fast this pregnancy is going!!!! 2 weeks ago Caleb and I started our Bradley Birthing Classes, which are a total of 10 weeks; just in time for Micah to arrive:) We are thrilled with how the Lord has miraculously continued to change my body and cause it to function in such a way that LIFE can grow within me. I know this is something I will never fully comprehend, but am looking forward to a detailed lesson from the Lord on it in heaven:) I still have very high energy, am working out 3-4 days a week (depending on the busy schedule), our house in Bethany is coming along and hopefully in November we will get to start some painting! Caleb is preparing for his final national board, board 4, which he will take next month. Currently we are doing a Jon Courson study on Micah and learning so much about the man of God in scripture that he was and praying these attributes over our son. Compassion for the Lost and for Christians who are far from God, Boldness in his faith, and a Prophet.
Well, we'll take another picture in a few weeks. I know this is a real growing time for him physically and that means it's a growing time for me too:)

26 Weeks

Look at me GROW!!! Caleb and I continue to praise God for an amazing and healthy pregnancy. I have continued to feel great and Caleb and I find ourselves talking more and more about Micah's arrival. At my last doctors appt. Micah's heartbeat was in the 150's and was more active then ever. It was my glucose appt. and I'm sure he has never been so hyper. When the doctor was trying to gauge his heartbeat he kicked the doppler 3 times. I am already starting to pick up on his sleep cycles a bit. He is pretty active between 5 and 5:30 in the morning, when I am still trying to get another hour of sleep, and by the time I do get up he's asleep again:) One of my students even got to feel him move. While singing happy birthday to one of my little boys, who was standing right in front of my tummy, Micah kicked and this little boy turned around and looked at me with BIG EYES. I laughed and told him that my baby hasn't learned that it's not nice to kick people yet, all the kids thought it was great!!!!
Caleb and I would appreciate your continued prayers. We are due in exactly 3 months and are excited to start our Bradley Birthing classes the first week in October. They will run for 10 weeks, which takes us right up to our due date.
What a GREAT God we serve, that he could be so mindful and clever as to create life in such a way as this. I can not fully comprehend it; this miraculous baby inside of me I give him praise "for your workmanship is marvelous."

23 Weeks and counting

The last couple of weeks with Micah have been such a joy. We have gotten to be with family and old friends for the last 3 weekends, what a blessing that has been:) Caleb and I continue to look forward to the birth of our son, often praying and wondering what kind of experience it will be that the Lord chooses to bless us with. We have lined up a pediatrician for Micah and have enrolled in our Bradley Birthing classes. Bradley is a birthing technique with a very natural approach. Caleb has researched a lot about it in school and on his own, plus we've had several friends take the classes and love them. Caleb has boards coming up soon (board 2, 3 and a PT) so we will be shopping for Micah's furniture etc. after daddy is done with those! Please be in prayer for Caleb with weekend of Sept. 12, that is when boards begin. It is also his birthday, so Micah and I have planned a few extra special things for daddy for that night:) Hope all is well in your lives and that you're seeing the Lord at work in some pretty miraculous ways!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!

Here is a picture of his spine! Daddy payed close attention and was glad to see his spine growing well and straight!!! Here are 2 feet. I love that you can already count his toes. I count them over and over!! This little piggy went to the market...
2 arms 2 hands! Can't see his fingers in this shot.
Here is our SONS precious face!! I could stare at it all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT'S A BOY!!! It was a little strange to post this picture, but it's very clear! Daddy knew long before the sonographer announced it. He said he could tell right away, but he kept quiet and then acted surprised when she announced...It's a Boy. Caleb and I are both so excited to welcome a son into our family.
His name is Micah. No middle name nailed down yet:) Micah means-who is like God. That has been our prayer all along. That the Lord would bless us with a child whom he has made in his image. Our continued prayer for Micah is that he would grow to be strong, healthy and above all follow his name---and be like our AMAZING GOD!!!!

20 Weeks

At my doctors appt. this week the heartbeat was 154 bpm. The baby is strong and I'm feeling constant movement. I don't think we have a lazy child on our hands by any means. My next posting will be some sonogram pictures and announcing what our baby will be:)
